We all know that he's a badass character. You see him doing awesome movements, kicking and beating monsters as if it were nothing and looking so amazing while doing it. The first impression that he always gives is the fact that he's a cool guy that you don't want to piss off.

Dante is someone who is quite confident in his abilities, because he knows he can kick your ass whenever he wants to. When in battle, he tends to get quite cocky, often teasing his enemy, provoking them and showing who is the boss here. That means, of course, that Dante has quite the ego and is not afraid of bringing it out during normal conversations as well.

He doesn't seem to be afraid of anything, even if Lucifer itself shows up before him, he will just do what he was doing. He can get cynical, insult the enemy and proceed to beat the crap out of said person. He likes taking the spotlight, showing off and 'getting the parties started' with a little fight or two. Hey, someone has to have fun with something.

As someone as handsome like him, he knows the effect he has over the opposite sex. He's prone to enjoy flirting, hitting on and scoring with beautiful women, even if they are demons (though he will battle them later for obvious reasons). Dante likes to enjoy life to its fullest so he can sometimes appear as someone who doesn't give a fuck about the situation, as it comes with his cool attitude. He takes everything as simple entertainment and gives the impression that he can't be serious.

However, that's only a part of Dante. Despite his childish behavior and his uncaring attitude, deep inside he has a strong sense of what is right and he can act serious when the situation calls for it. It comes with being human as well, as he's someone who's always doing all the things for justice as well. He cares for others, wants to protect them and will do things in his way to do that. That good nature of his, when people realize it, is often taken advantage of to "manipulate" him into doing the jobs for free.

He treasures the family and friends he has, and has good loyalty towards them, even if they are other demons. He can accept and believe when a demon repents for what they did, such as Trish, and can see when people really want to change, such as Lady, but gaining his trust is not an easy task, mostly because he wants to avoid causing trouble for them in the future. Once you are on his good side, he will even accept the worst jobs just to help.

Dante, despite acting lazily, takes plenty of jobs that are related to demons, even for free. He might be cynical about it and remark jokingly that he's doing the right thing, but it's part of said good nature and his will to protect others, as he's the only one who can do that job. Though thanks to that nature of his, he always ends up in debt and has to borrow money... Which leads to him gambling to get it back and failing horribly.

For him, humans sometimes are even worse than demons, but he will refuse to kill a human without a reason. That's linked to the fact that for him, his humanity is something quite important. Compared to other demons, who dislike and insult it, Dante accepts it and takes pride in it as well. And it's what brings him more power, as he even stated when facing Agnus in the fourth game: the strong will and love that the humans have, if a demon could accept such things, they would find themselves being stronger. Said love and caring were present in him since he cared for his mother and brother until the end; even crying with the latter's death and the infamous 'Liiight' scene with Trish....

Returning to his usual behavior, Dante has a fondness for a certain type of food: Pizza. For him, it's the most awesome food in the world and he would eat it everyday without getting tired of it. Following that, he also seems to have a liken for the rock music and he can play some instruments as well (one of them was a weapon after all). He also likes to drink, sometimes getting drunk and doing ridiculous things when drunk, and his favorite drink is Jack Daniels, that brand of whiskey.

Dante is also fond of collecting weapons as prizes, but he always sticks with Rebellion, Forced Edge and his guns, Ebony&Ivory, when he has to go on a Mission. During his free time he likes to read magazines, especially those who have hot chicks inside and likes to leave the paperwork and calls to Trish, because he likes to be a lazy ass.

Abilities: Ufff, here we come.

Since Dante is half-demon, he possesses some things over the human level of power and even the most demons'... Such as:

Superhuman Strength, Speed and Agility. He also posses the ability to channel his magic in various things, including weapons. Dante possesses the ability to regenerate from almost every wound (like being impaled by his own sword) that would normally kill a human (like a bullet in the head, being punched by a demon...)

To not forget that Dante is capable and has shown an ability to use all the weapons with a Mastership degree. His hand-eye coordination is one to be admired, even the demons are amazed because of it, and his skill with firearms is impeccable. He can also fight bare-handed, disarm someone, dodge a bullet from close range and hit even the smallest thing with his bullets; and there are more examples as well.

Dante of course possesses a Demon Transformation that looks like this. His demon power grants him a boost to his physical abilities, slow regeneration bonus and sometimes he can even fly.

Prose Sample:

New place, new world. Weapons still here, things could be worse. That's how Dante's mind worked when he first arrived. Surely he knew that this place wasn't part of the mission he had, and Hell, he didn't have any idea of how to get back, but he might as well enjoy the party for a bit.

"Look at that, surely somethin' big is gonna happen." The big boy said as he placed his sword on his shoulder and looked around. "Now, now, if you want to join this one, better come out already."

With a quick glance, he spotted some fae hiding in the shadows. "Not my style, I have to say. Though I can't blame you for wanting all of this." His free hand gestured to himself, as if he were exposing something obvious. Then, in less than a second, he jumped into mid-air to avoid a blast from behind.

Dante smirked at that, looking mockingly at this opponent. "Sorry for bursting your bubble, but you are not my type. So we can do this two ways, you see..." He began saying as he took out his gun and shot down an enemy from behind. "Looks like they always want to do it the hard way. Wake up, kid. Better go home while you still can."

He could deal with his questions later. But he couldn't deny a challenge when he sees one. Beating monsters was quite normal for someone like him, and considering that he saw the village close to it, he did it as a favor for the place that he planned to stay. Besides, he didn't want anyone to be harmed because of said creature, but no one had to know that.

"Here is to hoping that Trish doesn't bitch too much while I'm gone."

Once the monster was finished, Dante said that to himself. In some way, that was his own way to show he was a bit concerned about what was going on in his world while he was here.

Journal Sample:

[ There is a video feed with a certain man in a red coat, guns in hand as he's looking around the place. Then he looks at the camera. ]

Well, well, surely we got a nice party over here, uh? [ A smirk. ] Could've done better, though I'm not into the fairy thing too much. Gotta take what we can get. You can say it's a change of pace in some way, but seriously, fairies? [ Dante shrugs and keeps going. ]

Now, you see, I was on a mission back at home. My girls won't be pleased, and Hell, some of them won't stop bitching about it. [ Dante chuckles at the thought, let him be. ] I know you can't resist my charm, but I gotta go. So, let's have a little chat.

No bullets, I promise. Now, tell me what the hell this place is, and bring me some food while you are at it. I can wait all day. [ His sarcasm, gotta love it. Dante winks at the camera and ends the feed. ]
